This week I did some digging to bring you what I think are the best plant pots available on Amazon.
The Best Self-Watering Pot
I use Lechuza pots for my client. I like their minimal design and the watering system is well designed. The little glass indicator tells you exactly how much water to add to the reservoir.
These don’t have a drainage hole. Which means you should not directly put your plant inside the pot. You should keep the plant inside another pot with drainage holes. You can hide the inside pot, by “top-dressing” the plant. Which means you can add stones on top of the soil, and around the edge of the inside pot.
This one comes in multiple sizes and a wide shape:
These don’t include a pot. They are just the macrame ropes which will hold the pot.
Succulent and Cactus Planters
I’ve divided these just for succulents and cacti because of their size and how they’re made. Often cacti and succulents are sold as babies, and are generally slow growing, so these smaller pots are great. Cacti and succulents absolutely need a drainage hole! Plus a porous material like terracotta is better unless you have unusually low humidity (I’d say less than 35%). Unique terracotta pots are hard to find. I have nothing against the classic style, however its fun to find something a little different.
